The Dropmate app is an Android app developed by Earthly Dynamics. We take privacy very seriously and as such, built our app with the least intrusion to your personal information.
We hereby state, to the best of our knowledge and belief, that the Dropmate app is designed to not collect any personally identifiable information. All NFC data scanned from your Dropmate unit is stored on your device only and can be simply erased by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it. All reports generated by the user can also be simply erased by uninstalling it.
Explanation of Permissions
The following is the list of permissions used by the app:
Required as the core functionality of the app is to scan a physical Dropmate unit through the NFC interface on the phone. Any data transmitted to or from the phone is strictly intended for a physical Dropmate unit only. Permission is automatically granted by the system and can be turned off by user.
This permission is not required but allows the app to maintain an ongoing history of Dropmate units scanned and their contents after the app is closed. This data can be cleared within the app at any time. The user can also request to generate a report of the data collected from the Dropmate units at which point a csv file is compiled and saved within the internal storage of the app. This report is only shared with a third-party app (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) at the request of the user. Permission is automatically granted by the system and can be turned off by user.
