Earthly Dynamics

For over 20 years, Earthly Dynamics’ team of highly experienced and internationally recognized aerospace engineers has conducted research and development creating novel and affordable technologies such as autonomous airdrop systems for the aerospace community.

EDC uses state-of-the-art simulation tools and lean flight testing methods to provide high-value, cost-effective research and development and products to governmental, corporate, and private agencies in the aerospace industry.

EDC is widely known for its complex and innovative autonomous airdrop systems which use an integrated combination of dynamic simulation, practical control system design, mechatronics, mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and efficient flight experimentation.

Mark Costello

Mark Costello, Ph.D.

CEO

Mark Costello is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Earthly Dynamics Corporation where he directs technology development, business strategy, and fiscal management. An entrepreneur and engineering leader with deep academic and government experience, he previously served as Chair of the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech and as a Program Manager at DARPA in the Tactical Technology Office.  Dr. Costello is a well-known expert in flight dynamics, control, and system design of aerospace platforms.  He earned degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State (B.S.) and Georgia Tech (M.S. and Ph.D.).  Mark is an active paraglider pilot.

Cheri Costello

COO

Cheri Costello is the Chief Operating Officer of Earthly Dynamics Corporation, overseeing operations, financial controls, and the organizational systems that enable the company to scale and deliver mission-critical aerospace products. A seasoned operational and finance leader, she brings experience from Wells Fargo, Countrywide, RBC, and Bank of America, and excels at strengthening budgeting and procurement processes, tightening compliance and risk management, and building human-capital programs that improve performance and retention. She holds a B.S. from Oregon State University.
